Our weekly worship follows a dramatic pattern. God calls, and we respond. The high point is fellowship with God at His table. Christians have used various terms to name this feature—communion, the Lord’s Supper, eucharist. Regardless of the name, this simple meal of bread and wine is a symbol and seal of God’s great love. As in all of life, so especially here: God feeds us, and we feast with Him.
